EventsWork Experience
For two days each week every student is assigned to a local company gaining work experience. Central Berkshire Education Business Partnership arranges these long-term placements. The Partnership endeavours through its many relationships with both large and small businesses to match each student according to interests and skills. Each company also provides a trained member of its staff to work as a mentor with the student. This one-to-one relationship helps develop the student's potential in the workplace strengthens oral presentation and team working abilites.
Work experience helps students to mature and enables them to secure a favourable reference from the employer that can be vital in securing a paid job at the end of year 11. Students who want to continue full time study will also find that colleges are influenced by work experience performance.
